Is it possible to integrate biodiversity preservation into economic development?

Initiated in 16 countries, BIODEV2030 is an experimental approach willing to develop science-based sectoral voluntary commitments. The main goals are to:

  • Asses the threats to biodiversity and define the most impacting economic sectors on which to act as a priority, 
  • Promote dialogue between all relevant stakeholders: governments, private sector, civil society, etc.
  • Define voluntary sectoral commitments to contribute to stop biodiversity decline by 2030.
